About Me

Micalea SmeltzerMicalea Smeltzer is a twenty-something author from Northern Virginia. She has four dogs, which is as crazy as it sounds. As a recent kidney transplant recipient she’s dedicated to raising awareness around the effects of kidney disease, dialysis, and transplant as well as educating people on living donation. She enjoys writing about fantastical paranormal creatures and sexy rock stars. When she’s not writing you can catch her with her nose buried in a book.

My Favorites

Favorite color? Green!

Favorite song? Ooh, this is a tough one. It’s always changing because I LOVE music. Current fave is Closer by The Chainsmokers. All time fave would be The Heart Never Lies by McFly.

Favorite book? I can’t pick just one! I’m obsessed with Cambria Hebert’s The Hashtag Series, The Royals Series by Erin Watt, and anything by Krista & Becca Ritchie.

Favorite movie? ….She’s the Man. Nobody ever wants to watch it with me because I recite every single line.

Favorite show? Gilmore Girls. That show makes me happy.

Favorite coffee drink? Anything caramel (funny since I hate caramel in chocolate) and pumpkin.

Favorite animal? I think everyone’s expecting the answer to be ….(wait for it)… hedgehogs. But right now I have this weird thing for flamingos, which is ironic since I’m terrified of birds.

Favorite ice cream? Banana. My grandma makes homemade banana ice cream and it’s the best thing ever.

Favorite cake? Marble—the best of both worlds.

Favorite cookie? Sugar.

Favorite holiday? Christmas…but lately I also really love Halloween.

Favorite season? Fall.

Micalea SmeltzerHi. I’m Micalea. Ma-call-e-uh. Weird name, I know. My mom must’ve known I was going to be odd even in the womb. I’ve written a lot of books. Like a lot. Don’t ask me how many, I don’t remember at this point.
